The 2023 TWCA Annual Convention will take place March 1-3, 2023 near Bastrop, TX. We are looking forward to seeing each of you for a stellar speaker series, committee meeting updates, networking receptions, and more. Registration is now open. Early bird registration rates end on February 10. We are still finalizing the draft schedule and will be publishing it soon.
Hotel. For hotel reservations, visit here. Please note that the night of Tuesday, Feb. 28 is currently full, though we set aside more rooms for Tuesday than we ever have in the past. We are working with the hotel to determine if we can add more rooms to our contract, but please go ahead and get rooms for Wednesday and/or Thursday if possible and please complete this waitlist form for any additional nights you need. As usual, if you decide you no longer want a room, please contact Lisa Henley so we can maintain the room in our block.
Keynotes & Speaker Sessions. Confirmed keynote speakers include Chairman Tracy King, Senator Sarah Eckhardt, and TCEQ Interim Executive Director Erin Chancellor, with additional keynotes to be announced soon. We also look forward to sessions on carbon capture impacts to water, PUC sunset, regional flood planning, Lake Boehmer, joint planning, SAWS’ water management plan, recent case law developments, and more.
