Texas Water Day is planned for March 12-13 in Washington, D.C. We are again coordinating with National Waterways Conference (NWC) and also National Water Supply Alliance (NWSA), as they are planning their joint legislative summit the same dates.
Based on feedback from participants and post-covid norms on the Hill, we will have a new format this year. We will sponsor a congressional reception with NWC and NWSA on Tuesday, March 12 (details TBA), but TWCA members will schedule their own meetings on the Hill. In addition, we encourage our members who plan to attend Texas Water Day to also attend NWC/NWSA’s legislative summit for the speaker sessions, as we will not host a separate speaker series to avoid overlap and redundancy.
At this time, we do not plan to charge a separate fee for reception attendance, as we assume many will also register for the NWC/NWSA Legislative Summit.
Also, just a reminder that we do not have a hotel block, so attendees will be on their own to make reservations for a hotel in D.C. We strongly recommend you make reservations if you haven’t already, as the date is during Spring Break for some schools. TWCA staff intends to stay at Hotel Washington.
