City of Fort Worth: Water Conservation Program Manager
Responsible for 54 staff members in the Water Conservation and Meter Services sections. Provide technical expertise in developing and administering the City's Water Conservation and Drought Management Programs; perform related work as required; participate in the preparation and administration of assigned budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures; respond to citizen and water system customer inquiries, complaints, and information requests; evaluate, formulate, and recommend new and make amendments to the city water usage and conservation programs, policies and objectives; manage water usage audits with major commercial and industrial users to reduce water use and comply with the Water Conservation Program; determine cost/benefit ratio for all new water conservation efforts and prepares cost estimates for projects; coordinate and implement the City's water distribution leak detection and water audit programs; establish goals and priorities for departmental programs; serve as a technical expert on water efficiency issues, researches water conservation programs, and techniques; and prepare recommendations for overall program objectives and goals.

North Plains Groundwater Conservation District: Monitoring Well Coordinator
Location: Dumas, TX. General Description: This person will coordinate, implement and maintain water quality monitoring and water level monitoring program areas: monitor and measure progress on program; research, analyze and recommend possible new monitor well sites; coordinate easement acquisition for new and existing monitor well sites, be responsible for overseeing the construction, equipping and maintenance of monitor wells; perform data acquisition, quality assurance and quality control related to the program; prepare and monitor related budgets and expenditures; perform assignments independently with direct supervision and guidance from the Assistant Manager on matters related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy positions; and will perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager
Educational/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, engineering, geology, hydrology, environmental science, a closely related field or equivalent experience and training; strong analytical, technical, problem solving and investigative skills; experience using computer software in solving analytical problems; strong oral, written and organizational skills; ability to work well with District staff, groups or individuals with diverse interests; ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and responsibility, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a safe driving record.

North Plains Groundwater Conservation District: Field Technician
Location: Dumas, Texas. General Description: Conducts field inspections and investigations with appropriate personnel and reports findings; maintains accurate records of field investigation activities; assists Compliance Coordinator in assembling required information to complete enforcement packets and other related activities; drafts summary reports as a result of field investigations; provides the general public with information regarding the Ogallala Aquifer; maintains all records concerning field investigations; maintains all associated field equipment; and performs other duties as scheduled by the Field Services Coordinator.
Educational/Experience Requirements: Associates Degree or equivalent experience and training, have a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record; have mechanical aptitude and possess the ability to work with little direct supervision; must have the ability to work well with District staff and groups or individuals with diverse interests; have some familiarity with computers in data entry, record keeping and summary report writing.
